This week is Children’s Mental Health Week (3-9 Feb). Set up by children’s mental health charity Place2Be, the week shines a spotlight on the importance of children and young people’s mental health, with this year’s theme “Find your Brave”.
Bravery comes in all shapes and sizes and is different for everyone. Bravery can be about sharing worries and asking for help, trying something new or pushing boundaries. It can build confidence, self-esteem and make a person feel good about themselves.
Around three children in every primary school class has a mental health problem, and many more struggle with challenges from bullying to bereavement. In support of the week, Healthy London Partnership will raise awareness of the importance of children and young people’s mental health through social media. Please help spread the word by using #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek
