Cancer commissioning managers and lead cancer GPs in London are being invited to provide feedback on our cancer recovery package commissioning guidance which is due to be refreshed this year.
The recovery package is a series of different interventions which, when delivered together, can greatly improve outcomes for people who are recovering from cancer. The interventions are holistic needs assessments, treatment summaries, health and wellbeing events and cancer care reviews in primary care.
These elements are part of an overall support of self-management which also includes physical activity, managing the physical and psychological consequences of treatment, financial support, vocational rehabilitation, stratified follow up pathways and long term conditions management in primary care.
To support London CCGs, our Transforming Cancer Services Team published commissioning guidance on the recovery package in November 2015.
The guidance is being refreshed this year and feedback on the current guidance is being sought via a short survey. Feedback is invited whether you have seen the guidance prior to this survey or not. The commissioning guidance can be found here.
The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete.
For more information about our work, please contact the Transforming Services Cancer Team at England.TCSTLondon@nhs.net
The survey closes on Wednesday 6 September 2017.
