The pledge:

Pledge by London Borough of Barnet

1) Promote the use of the Red Book among health workers and parents and will continue to support the e-Red Book roll out as part of the Child Digital Health Hub.
2) Promote the health benefits of breastfeeding and encourage businesses to create a welcoming environment for breastfeeding women through the championing of the Healthy Workplace Charter.
3) Are participating in the UNICEF Child Rights Partners programme and working towards being a Child Friendly Community by 2020. This includes increasing recognition of child rights and strengthening the voice of children in decision-making.
4) Have already established a Healthy Children’s Centre award scheme, which all Barnet Children’s Centres have joined, and which it aims to develop further and roll out to wider early years settings.
