With cancer waiting times remaining a priority for the NHS, Transforming Cancer Services has collaborated with Cancer Alliances in London to design a training package supporting accessible standardisation of cancer waits training across the region.

In January, two training sessions covering Cancer Waits and Best Practice Timed Pathways were delivered to over 140 colleagues from across London. Feedback received so far has been extremely positive.

100% of colleagues who completed the evaluation said that the overall training session was helpful to their role and the delivery was clear and well presented.

96% of colleagues said that they are very likely/likely to recommend the training session to a friend or co-worker.

100% of colleagues said that they are very likely/likely to attend another one of our training sessions in the future.

We are expecting updates to the current cancer wait times guidance in due course, and this will be reflected in the content of future training sessions.

The next Cancer Waits and Best Practice Timed Pathway training take place on 19 April and 27 April respectively.
