From Monday 11 December 2017 a public marketing campaign about GP extended access services is running for the two weeks to Christmas and then again for two weeks from 2 January 2018.
The marketing mix will include digital, radio and print advertising across London and is part of the Stay Well This Winter campaign.
GP extended access campaign messaging includes:
- Over 9 million Londoners will now be able to book routine GP appointments in the evening, at the weekend and over bank holidays, making accessing GP services much easier for those with a busy work or family life
- There will be an additional 75,000 appointments available each month
- London is the first region to be able to offer this to every patient registered with a GP
- Not only is this great news for Londoners but it will also help manage pressures on urgent and emergency care services especially over the busy winter period
