As set out in the ‘Measuring impact’ section, it is important for IAPT services to understand the population they serve, and whether there is any inequality of access or outcomes for particular population groups, which need targeted outreach or a service that is more tailored to their needs.

The IAPT services we spoke to have all, to a greater or lesser extent, provided specific services to different population groups. We have included examples within each ‘population group’ section.
