Covid-related resources

Therapy for You IAPT service have developed some digital Covid-related resources that are available to everyone. For more information, please see details below:

The first resource was developed to support the treatment at home of people with long term conditions experiencing COVID related anxiety with the aim of trying to prevent unnecessary admissions to hospital in the time of crisis.  The team were asked to design a rapid support intervention which included some psycho-educational material that would support the programme.  Rather than sticking to traditional leaflets and booklets, the team designed this platform which would allow people to access support material easily and engage with it at a time when they needed it most.

The second resource was developed to support people experiencing the impact of COVID after receiving hospital treatment.. This resource is available to all and includes links so people from outside the Essex area could access their local IAPT services.  The material in this resource has also been translated into Bengali, Hindi and Urdu.

National IAPT Programme Webinar series on delivering condition specific treatment during COVID-19

In response to COVID-19 the National IAPT Programme (NHS England and Improvement) offered from April – June 2020 a webinar series (NHS Futures link – not publicly accessible), on delivering different therapies during COVID-19. Owing to the popularity of the initial series they offered a second series (NHS Futures link – not publicly accessible), in August looking at post-COVID syndrome (now commonly referred to as long-COVID). Recordings and slide packs are available on the IAPT Future NHS platform – access can be requested using your NHS email address. This platform has also been utilised during the period of the pandemic to serve as a forum for discussion with national IAPT colleagues and to share good practice.
