About this event

A free event on transforming primary care for children and young people in London, organised by the Children and Young People’s team of Healthy London Partnership was held on  26 April 2018.

The event launched a toolkit of resources to support people working across primary and community care and celebrated the conclusion of a set of primary care pilots we have been supporting in London.

Our keynote speaker was Professor Sir Michael Marmot.

The event had a practical focus, to give GPs, practice nurses and managers, pharmacists, commissioners and other staff the tools to support CYP in their practices and the community.

Presentations included reducing CYP A&E attendance and learning from the National Review of Asthma Deaths.

Workshops included implementing guidelines in a practical setting, what does a GP hub look like for CYP?, creating a CYP-friendly environment and innovative ways of working with your community pharmacist.

A marketplace of innovative CYP-focused services and tools for NHS staff working in primary and community care aimed to inform and inspire you in your practice.
