About this event
As part of the GP Forward View, Clinical Pharmacists have been working with General Practice teams to treat patients directly in order to improve outcomes.
Following the publication of the NHS Long term plan, the new GP contract and the Next Steps to the Strategic Commissioning Framework, the expansion of clinical pharmacists and the wider workforce is set to continue. There will be a move towards practices working collaboratively at scale, and the expansion of Primary Care Networks (PCNs).
This event will provide an opportunity to:
- Learn about the NHS Clinical pharmacists in general practice programme, and the future of the programme in the context of the Network Contract DES
- Learn about the additional roles reimbursement scheme: As part of the new Network Contract DES, PCNs will be guaranteed funding for an up to estimated 20,000+ additional staff to work alongside GPs by 2023/24
- Network and share learning from colleagues
Who is the event aimed at?
This event is aimed at those involved in the Clinical Pharmacist programme, those who want to continue to employ pharmacists in general practice or emerging PCNs.
